Said Zahid was born in Casablanca,
Morocco one of 9 brothers and
sisters. Said was a help to his Mother
in the kitchen, and a love of food
soon followed. Said came to the
United States in 1987, after first
in Paris working in farmers markets
and restaurants. While in New York
City, he continued to work in the
restaurant industry for a couple of
years before moving to San Francisco.
Before he and his wife Trish decided
to open up their Moroccan restaurant,
Said was a chef at a Moroccan
restaurant in the city for 5 years.
